Engineering Studio: Paris & other French Cities Are you passionate about travel? Do you wish you could see the world, but you’re stuck at home these days? Same here! Join us, as we embark on a journey around the world, powered by LEGO! In this session, we’ll “visit” a few destinations in France, learning about their people and cultures, studying the great feats of design and engineering they’ve created, and taking in their most famous sites and buildings. As we travel, campers will have the opportunity to study these sites by building with LEGO. Pack your bags, it’s time for vacation – MODA style! All you’ll need for this studio is a computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection, and any LEGO you have. No specific sets or bricks are necessary. Don’t have LEGO but still want to join in on the fun? No worries! Below are two links to programs which allow you to build with virtual “LEGO.” Tinkercad Virtual LEGO Participants are also welcome to build with any other materials they have available!

Digital Citizenship & the MODA Community MODA’s camps & classes give children a chance to explore their interests and try out different roles. We work to empower campers by giving them choices, both to practice skills they already have and to acquire new ones. Our camps & classes create a new digital community for your student. Knowing how to be a good community member is critical. We expect campers to be respectful community members and to engage in respectful communication, even (or especially) with those who are very different from themselves. Honoring these differences is key to digital citizenship. We are committed to creating camp & class environments in which participants respect one another and learn from one another.
